Yes, Google Scholar can help you find articles! Here are the instructions for modifying your Google Scholar preferences so that you can use it to search for articles available through Bethel Libraries:

  • Go to the Library Database A-Z list.
  • Click on "G", and then scroll down to Google Scholar. Click on Google Scholar
  • In the upper right corner, confirm that you are logged-in as your Bethel account.
  • In the top left corner of the page, click on the three lines and go down to the gear logo.
  • Scroll down to the "Library Links" section of the Settings page and make sure that Bethel University - Full-Text @ My Library is listed under your links.
  • If Bethel is not listed, search for "Bethel University" in the search box provided.
  • Click the "Save" button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen
* Sometimes Google changes the layout of the page.  If you can't find the Scholar Preferences button from the main search page, look for the gear logo in the top right corner of the window, and you can find Scholar Preferences linked there, too.
