You can find a book in the library by its call number (example: 326.8 H914). Each bookshelf is marked with call number ranges. Think of a call number like an address, and the bookshelves like the streets. Find the "street" your call number is on, then look through the call numbers on the shelf until you find your "address". Library staff are happy to assist you in locating books!
